My Mission & Approach
While economics should not be the sole driver of decision-making, it plays a vital role in helping practitioners and policymakers understand the costs, benefits, and distributional effects of their choices—contributing to more informed, equitable, and effective outcomes. My mission is to empower organizations and practitioners with clear, actionable economic tools that support environmental decision-making rooted in both evidence and empathy. Through research, collaboration, and accessible communication, I aim to bridge the gap between economic theory and real-world conservation challenges—ensuring that decisions are not only data-driven, but also transparent, inclusive, and impactful over the long term.
Within this context, this website offers a range of resources to support the practical application of economic tools in environmental and social settings. Through lectures, spreadsheets, and blog posts, it provides accessible insights into methods such as cost-benefit analysis, environmental valuation, and cost-effectiveness—tools designed to illuminate trade-offs, clarify impacts, and guide thoughtful policy and project decisions.
Who I Am & What I Do
I am a dedicated environmental economist with over a decade of experience helping organizations make smarter, more sustainable decisions. I specialize in providing NGOs and institutions with cost-benefit analyses, tailored economic tools, and insightful research to support data-driven strategies that drive meaningful environmental impact. With a PhD in Economics from PUC Rio de Janeiro and a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, I combine academic rigor with practical relevance.
As a former Senior Economist at Conservation Strategy Fund and now a senior consultant, I partner with global organizations to design actionable solutions rooted in environmental economics. If you’re looking for a thoughtful partner to tackle your conservation challenges, I’d be delighted to collaborate.
